Full Description
a rare design rendered in many colors. There is effective but visible stabilization throughout. This takes two forms; normal meandering thread and in the weak areas, those characterized by broken wefts, lightly spun yarn has been laid and couched over the affected areas. This last, though effective is not very attractive but fortunately it may be easily removed. There does not appear to be any full blown holes, i.e. where both warp and weft are missing, except for one small, old, patch.
